Tiny Wunderland dawg

Hello, so yea, I’m a modeling geek…. And thus this really interested me, so 3 hours after looking and reading about this I thought I’d enlighten you all.
The project is basically a huge miniature world, but the site is actually really pretty.
In particular, this selection window. I like the witty little images which reflect their purpose.

Periodic Table of Typefaces

Found this via 40fakes although I don’t know where it originally comes from. Donde está la wingdings indeed. The use of Helvetica for Hydrogen is genius. Click images for the big version.

Old School Flight Manuals

The infographics nerd and the plane nerd inside me had a mini disco party when I found these American Cold War flight manuals. I particularly like the Ejection one - some nice modernist typography and simple charts to explain possibly one of the most violent events a person can go through.

Movie Classics

In a bit a continuation from the previous post, I found someone doing something very similar with films as classic book covers.

From Spacesick.
