Okumura Akio

I love Japanese Design and I love Okumura Akio

(The site is obviously in Japanese and it will take some trial and error to locate certain sections. It is worth it though :-D)

AMmmmmbient media

Ambient, isn’t it lovely? Especially when it’s really simple and a bit satirical. In Berlin, some artists decided to deface posters and thus uncover the real truth behind their production. Photoshopped posters anyone ? Rather nice!

T-Mobile makes Liverpool Street dance

I caught this online after it had been broadcast (I’m not going to admit to watching BB) but it put a smile on my face and I’ve been to Liverpool Street enough times that it’s familiar to me. Here’s some more information from Brand Republic.

Feltron Annual Report 2008

Nicholas Felton has released his latest annual masterpiece that documents his life over the last year. The poster versions have sold out already, but there are still some folded versions left if you hurry. $10 including shipping to the UK.

Mini at 50

I couldn’t exist on this blog if I didn’t have at least one car related post. The Mini is 50 this year and I thought I’d tell everyone, who hasn’t already read ‘The Times’.

This is ‘Winnie’ by the way.

Mike Lamenski, Interesting Ideas

I’m looking forward to seeing more of Mr. Lamenski’s work, because his ideas are very interesting.

Cars and women

Mmm cars and women, especially when the car is a BMW. So I was in a showroom the other day waiting for a tyre quote.
The BMW art car book was out, which can I say is very well griddled and uber modernist with Sans serif faces everywhere.
I was flicking through and it came to the posters section, and this appeared…

bmw

Its a poster to promote BMW’s second hand market that the showrooms run. The caption is awesome.
If you can’t see it, it says, “You know you’re not the first”, and a picture of a beautiful (subject to opinion) girl.
I like it, and the book it was in.
